Say Goodbye to Fine Lines and Wrinkles with BOTOX, Dysport, and Daxxify

Luckily, cosmetic treatments now exist that can soften specific facial muscles to promote a youthful appearance. At Face Forward Medical Aesthetics in Lexington MA, we use BOTOX, Dysport, and Daxxify to relax the muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a refreshed, radiant appearance, and preventing the progression of wrinkle formation down the line.

What is BOTOX?

BOTOX Cosmetic is an injectable agent that temporarily improves the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet. Thanks to our skilled, precision-minded Nurse Practitioners, Face Forward Medical Aesthetics has developed a reputation for delivering among the best BOTOX Lexington, MA can lay claim to.

How Does BOTOX Work?

Emotional facial expressions such as smiling, laughing, and frowning create furrows or wrinkles in the skin over time. But a muscle can only contract when a nerve signal reaches that muscle. BOTOX works to temporarily block the nerve signals, preventing contraction of the specifically targeted muscles. Once the tiny facial muscles are relaxed, the skin smooths out and the countenance assumes a more youthful, rested look.

The Truth About BOTOX and Its Safe, Subtle Results

Misconceptions about BOTOX are common and include the myths that BOTOX is “toxic”, that BOTOX can be absorbed into the bloodstream, or that BOTOX gives the face a “frozen” look. On the contrary, when injected by a licensed, experienced provider, BOTOX results can be subtle, organic-looking, and elegant. Additionally, BOTOX has a long history with a safe track record.

It does not build up in the body over time and is not the same as Botulism (food poisoning). If you have other concerns, Jill Canes would be happy to discuss them with you during your consultation. For more reading, a great article was featured in the New York Times about BOTOX applications in the brows and around the eyes.
